so much to tell
so little time, have meant to blog for ages but staying somewhere with no internet connection and working solidly plus several people overlook my pooter so not many sneaky blogging opportunities is everyone still here? had a look at vox but can't find anyone i'm buggering off from work soon so will be able to write more hopefully, had a bit of a hectic year but now i just want to walk and eat tapas i'm in an internet cafe and two guys are fighting over closing or opening the door! mad is it bad to leave a message on your daughter's facebook profile (obviously disguised as someone else other than her mother!) teasing one of her old school friends over always being naughty on the school bus!

oh you succulent thing
it was unusual for the kids to be completely left on their own, even though the eldest was 12, if no one else my grandmother was always usually there, she herself in earlier years had had to leave her own daughters alone all day so she could work to keep them alive, she had no option, that or starvation with no exergeration, i wonder what today's social workers would have made of that, she would lock them in but trained her eldest to scream out of the window should any of them fall ill or have a serious accident, her eldest was but 7 when instructed so, and one day it did happen |

rise above
it's funny (or not maybe) how certain child hood memories really stick with you. I've got a few but one that i remember very clearly is a day in spain at my grandmother's cottage, well cottage is perhaps too much of a romantic view, it was a 3 roomed building, kitchen, 'in between room' and bedroom, during the summer these 3 rooms would be filled with her four daughters, their husbands and their children, of course the kids never minded the chaos but it must have been hell for the parents, for the kids there was nothing but entertainment in the surrounding area, the river, the sea, the animals, the other kids, their imagination, it held nothing but fascination for me, although i did have to suffer the mosquitos and sun stroke, anyway the parents, understandably would try to escape from time to time |

bits and bytes alone can't kill
so early one morning they came to get me, i was barely eighteen and my mother cried and away i went, someone had to be blamed as bits and bytes alone can't maime, but with my naive arrogance i beat them at their own game or maybe not, i was too young to really know |
